Needs More Megaman
Capcom’s finally getting around to releasing Megaman 9. Great. Thing is, they’re doing it like the original NES games, in 8-bit. Fine, whatever. As long as I don’t have to suffer through another round of terrible voice acting (a la Megaman 8). That’ll be out towards the end of the year, so I went down to Gamestop the other day on the off chance that they had a copy of the Megaman anniversary edition (Megaman 1-8). They did, and at $8 I couldn’t say no.
I’ve been ignoring Megaman games for a long time, pretty much since they released that unspeakable horror Megaman X6. I’ve missed a lot, first and foremost the Megaman Zero series on the GBA (not the mention the even newer ZX series for the DS). I hopped on eBay to see if I could find any of those games for cheap, and in a stunning display of good timing, found a single auction for Megaman Zero 1-4, Megaman ZX, Megaman ZX Advent, and a couple of other Megaman games that I don’t really care about. In yet another coincidence, I won the auction for nearly the exact balance of my Paypal account. Awesome.
Now, if only Capcom would release Megaman Legends 3. Hey Capcom, it’s been 8 years. You ended 2 on a cliffhanger. Would you please stop making those awful Megaman Battle Network games and focus on something good? Battle Network is basically Pokemon anyway.
