“You Make HOW MUCH?!”
I was chatting with another newbie affiliate marketer out in California today and found out that we have similar jobs. He was asking about the cost of living in the Midwest, and I told him that apartments out here are only around $300-$400 per month. He said that was unheard of in California, and wanted to know how much I made. I gave him a rough estimate and he nearly had a heart attack. He said that nobody could live on that little out on the west coast, and that the midwest must look like a 3rd world country. Oh well, I live pretty well on my meager wage.
Speaking of money, I’m going to be making more of it soon. My boss is putting me in charge of an online marketing program for our company, and we’re going to be negotiating my compensation soon. This should hopefully end well.

Yup, the cost of living out here is around 1/3 to 1/4 of what it is on the coasts.
$400 in Chicago will get you a southside garden level in the hood where you can be lulled to sleep each night by gunshots.
Here’s to living in the expensive part of the midwest.
