Trying my hand at affiliate marketing: Part 2
Today’s edition: Google adwords.
I joined Neverblueads and found that I like their system more than Commision Junction. After browsing around for a bit, I found a handful of offers that looked pretty easy and set up a few landing pages. I then created a few campaigns with adwords and waited.
Day 1
Revenue: $5
Costs: $0.25
Profit: $4.75
Day 2
Revenue: $10
Costs: $7.71
Profit: $2.29
Lessons learned
- People are gullible idiots.
- The offers I’m running convert on an email submit. These are very easy and desirable.
- Of the two ad groups that are making me money, one is severely outperforming the other. There’s still a few hours left in the day, so tomorrow I’m going to take a look at my numbers and possibly pull the 2nd ad group.

Congrats on the profits! How is your quality score? QS for zip/email submit landing pages can be a real pain.
Well my quality scores were fine until sometime last night. Today I woke up to find they’d all fallen through the floor.
