Stupid iPod

Remember that 4th gen iPod I got a little over a week ago? It’s already dead. It worked fine for about a week, and then on Friday it started skipping, playing the wrong tracks, and getting screen glitches. Then the hard drive started clicking and the whole case heated up to the point that if I held it, my palm started sweating. So much for that.

You know, I’ve heard that iPods tend to die without any provocation, and this doesn’t help that rumor. I figured that the people who said such things were just Apple-haters who secretly wanted their own iPods, but now I’m inclined to believe them. Hopefully it’s just a fluke with 4th gens.

Regardless, I contacted Woot and I’m returning it tomorrow. Maybe I’ll just buy a Zune.

Also, off-topic, I’m almost done with my next review for thinkgaming. I’m really just sloshing through this one. The game seemed okay from the start, but now it’s horribly boring and I’m having a hard time convincing myself to work on it. Oh well, soon.
